Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to investigate effects of continuous training on improving selected
health related fitness component in a case of Ethiopia Edget primary school Arada sub –city, Addis
Ababa town. To achieve the purpose, true experimental design was used. The target population of
this study was 40 male Ethiopia Edget primary school; these students were taken by using simple
random sampling techniques their age was lies in between 15-17 years. The participants of this
study were classified in to two groups namely; Continuous training group (n=20) and control
group (n=20). Perform continuous training respectively three days per week for 3-month and
60minutes per sessions. One groups’ undergone normal training program and control group
cannot take any training. And all groups had taken pre and post-tests. So, all subjects participated
in 2 selected health related fitness performance tests: cooper tests or 12 minute run test and
60second sit-up test. The data collected from the study subject was analyzed using SPSS version
24 software by independent t-test to know the significance difference between group and paired
sample t-test to know pretest to posttest change of significant at 0.05 level of confidence.
Continuous training group were significantly increased on cardiovascular endurance and
muscular endurance. However, the results of the study indicated that, continuous training group
were significant difference in level of cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance. As it
was assessed by Levene's test for equality of variances at the level of 12minute run test( P = .000
,
MD= 711.2 ), 60second sit test (P = .000, MD = 17.8). So it can be concluded that continuous
training as effective as for enhancement of cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance
than control group. As comparison paired sample t-test the pre and post test result of
cardiovascular endurance performance levels in 12minute run test indicated a statistically
significant difference. The result suggests that continuous training group was significantly
improved cardiovascular endurance performance (MD = -683.6, SD = 191.1408, p = 0.000) when
engaged to 12 weeks of continuous training with selected exercise and as camparison paired
sample t- test the pre to post test result of muscular endurance performance levels in 60second sit
up test indicated a statistically significant difference. The result suggests that continuous training
group was significantly improved muscular endurance performance (MD = -17.1, SD = .9145, p
= 0.000) . So it can be concluded that continuous training effectives for enhancement of
cardiovascular endurance and muscular endurance fitness in 12 weeks training programs of
Ethiopia Edget grade eight male students.
