| dc.description.abstract | Varicose Veins are characterized by subcutaneous dilated, tortuous veins greater than or equal to three millimeters, involving the saphenous veins, saphenous tributaries, or non- saphenous superficial leg veins [2,3]. Varicose veins (VVs) are a common chronic CVD affecting 10 – 30 % of the general population, with significantly increased rates in the older population [3]. Varicose Veins are seen globally and influenced by activity and lifestyle. Overall, VVs are more common in women than in men due to their hormonal effects. The incidence was highest in women in their 40s [4]. | en_US |
