Abstract:
In view to promote private investment, the government of Ethiopia enacted various policies and laws. Besides investment promotion, the government established investment administration organs both at federal and regional levels. Thus based on the investment objective, this research explores the level of implementation of investment law in Hadiya zone; particularly in agriculture sector. In this research, the level of implementation of investment law in Hadiya zone is measured in terms of three standards. It includes- level of land utilization; level of technology and skill transfer and level of job creation to the community. Whenever measured based on these standards, there is problem of lack of follow up mechanisms by concerned government organs; Lack of infrastructure, low level of land utilization; limited job opportunity and technology and transfer.
