Oral health knowledge, attitude and practice among sendafa secondary and Preparatory school students ,sendafa , finfinne surrounding oromia special Zone,ethiopia.

Abstract

Introduction:-oral health means being free of mouth and facial pain, birth defects such as cleft lip and palate, periodontal diseases, tooth decay and tooth loss and other systemic diseases that affect the oral cavity. Objective: to assess knowledge, attitude and practice towards oral health among SSPS, Sendafa, Finfinne Surrounding Oromia Special Zone. Methods: - Across sectional study was conducted in SSPS from April 11-21/2013. The data was collected by distributing self administered questionnaire for students which was selected randomly from total of 2190 students. Simple random sampling technique was used. The sampling included grade 9th to12th students in the school. Results The collected data was summarized and analyzed and the result was presented using tables. Conclusion and recommendation: Based on the result, conclusion was made and recommendation was forwarded to the responsible bodies.
