dc.description.abstract The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of training on employee performance in the case of NATVETC. The main objective of training is to improve employee knowledge and the skills for their better performance. The performance is measured in terms of the improvement in efficiency and performance of employee. The study made use of descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, percentile, minimum, maximum, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and regression analysis) to analyze the data by using SPSS version 21 , the study was done based on primary and secondary data sources, all the necessary data has been gathered from primary sources using questionnaires. It is in light of this that this study sought to investigate what effect training has had on the employee performance of NATVETC. The p-values of training need assessment, training design, selection of trainer, training delivery, challenges of training and evaluation of training program are significant which means they have strong relationships with employees’ performance. This shows that there are positive relationships between variables of training and performance. Linear correlation between the variables of training and employee performance is very closely related. This indicates that the employees will reach at the desired level of performance if the training is well designed and delivered. In addition to this, the dimensions of training (training need assessment, selection of trainer, training delivery, challenges of training and evaluation of training program are significant, which means they have strong relationships with performance. Therefore, it is advisable to consider when selecting the training content and using learning styles so as to make employee’s motivated, committed, efficient, and well performer. en_US
