dc.description.abstract Factors affecting the leadership practice of public organization is considered as one of the major ways in the least developed countries. Studies on Factors affecting the leadership in public organizations can be of immense importance as such studies could provide an important input for better performance of the organizations. This study therefore intends to explore the Factors affecting the leadership practice in the public organizations of town administration in Mizan Aman. Data will be collected using structured questionnaires from 170 employees working in the town administration of Mizan Aman and the researcher employed both probability and non-probability random sampling technique and also the researcher utilized both primary source of data and secondary source of data. Both descriptive and inferential analyses were carried out using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Correlation analysis was conducted to determine the significance of the relationship between environmental and organizational factors, and organizations in the town administration. In addition, regression and analysis of variance are conducted. The bivariate correlation analysis showed that all the three independent variables used in this study have significant correlation with organizational Factors Affecting Leadership Practice of Public Organization of the town administration. A multiple regression analysis on the effect of organizational capacity (OC), organizational motivation (OM) and external environmental factors (EE) on the organizational leadership (OL) of public organizations showed that three independent variables can explain 84% the variation of the organizational Factors Affecting Leadership Practice of Public Organization of the town administration as represented by the adjusted R2 . Analysis of variance also showed that there is a meaningful relationship between organizational leadership and its determinants namely organizational capacity, organizational staff development and motivation and external environmental variables. Hence, it is recommended that the town administration should give due attention to these variables to ensure sustained and better organizational performance. en_US
