dc.description.abstract The study examines the factors that determine effective implementation of public projects in Benishangul-gumuz regional state Bureau of finance and economic development. The target population of this study was 129 employees of bureau of finance and economic development” The researcher used Cronbacha alpha to test for reliability. The study used Census survey method to collect primary data. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. The study also used both Quantitative and qualitative research approach for data analysis the researcher employing SPSS version 23. The study correlation analysis identified that effective public project implementation practice is strongly and positively correlated with public project management process group aspects and project training. The correlation analysis identified that effective public project implementation practice is moderately and positively correlated with public project policy. In multiple regression analysis, findings indicated that linear regression of the public project policy, public project management process group and public project management training was strong predictor of effects of Public project implementation practice. Effective public project implementation practice from the linear combination regression of Public project policy, Public project management process group and Public project management training is statistically significant.The findings suggest proper and adequate public project budgeting system, effective training and scheduling leads to positive public project implementation in terms of time, cost, quality and the overall implementation. en_US
