For this study out of 952 total population, 281 sample sizes 179 (Male), and =102 (Female) were selected. The self-designed and adapted/modified closed-end questionnaires were employed for data collection. To analyze the data both descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used. Descriptive statistics include frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Specifically, multiple linear regression, Pearson correlation coefficient (r), and independent t-test were employed to analyze the data. SPSS version 25 software was used for data analysis. The finding of the Pearson correlation coefficient (r) shows that a negative relationship between social media and academic achievement(r= -707**; p<.001 ). The finding of the Pearson correlation coefficient (r) shows there was a positive relationship between psychosocial factors and academic achievement (r= .728*; p< .001). The result of the independent sample t-test indicated that there was a significant difference between male and female in social media usage(t= -1.306; df=266; p = .193) and psychosocial factors(t= .703; df=266; p= .482)in the present study.
