dc.description.abstract Background: Post-term pregnancy is a pregnancy that has reached or continued beyond 42 weeks of gestation. Post term pregnancy increased the risk of maternal, fetal, and neonatal mortality and morbidity. The global proportions of post-term pregnancy vary across countries. Only a few studies on the proportion of post-term pregnancy in Ethiopia exist. Objective: This study assessed the proportion of postterm pregnancy and associated factors among postpartum mothers in Hadiya zone public hospitals, Central region of Ethiopia, 2023. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 412 selected study participants from May 30 to June 30, 2023. Systematic sampling techniques were used to take the study participants. The data were collected through a face-to-face interview. The data were entered into the Epi-data version 4.6 and then exported to Social Sciences version 25 for statistical analysis. Binary logistic regressions were done. In multivariable logistic regression analysis, P<0.05 and adjusted Odds ratio with 95% CI were used to declare statistically significant factors. Results: This study revealed that the proportion of post-term pregnancies was 15.7% [95% CI: 11.9-19.4]. Age 20-24 (AOR: 0.09, 95% CI: 0.01, 0.84), male neonate (AOR: 2.88, 95% CI: 1.22, 6.77), family history of post-term pregnancy (AOR: 6.26, 95% CI: 2.85, 13.75), previous history of post-term pregnancy (AOR: 4.07, 95% CI: 1.79, 9.27) and low partner support during pregnancy (AOR:8.92,95%CI: 3.53,22.4) were statistically significantly associated with the post-term pregnanc en_US
