dc.description.abstract This study aims to investigate the factors influencing the timely delivery of public building construction projects in Kersa Woreda. Employing a mixed-methods approach, descriptive and explanatory research methods were utilized with a sample of 76 respondents drawn from four different projects undertaken in the Woreda administration over the past three years. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for analysis, with qualitative data analyzed through content analysis. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to test the relationship between independent variables and project delays. The findings suggest that financial constraints, project planning, project management, project leadership, resource allocations, and stakeholder collaboration significantly impact time delays in public building construction projects in Kersa Woreda. Effective resource management and stakeholder communication emerged as critical factors in minimizing delays, while financial constraints were found to significantly increase project delays. This recommend to enhance project management practices, regular training sessions on advanced techniques should be conducted, and detailed planning with risk management strategies should be implemented using standardized templates and software tools. Improving resource allocation involves timely budget allocations, streamlined procurement processes, and training on new construction technologies, while regulatory processes can be streamlined through collaboration with regulatory bodies and fast-track systems. Strengthening financial management, fostering stakeholder communication, developing effective project leadership, and improving project monitoring with robust systems and adequate training are essential for addressing project delays and inefficiencies en_US
