dc.description.abstract Construction is one of the most important economic sectors in the world and it plays a major role in the development of any nation. The main purpose of this research was to evaluate the public construction project management practices in Federal Housing Corporation development projects. A descriptive research method was used to achieve the intended purpose of the study. The questionnaire, interview, and review were used to collect the required data for the study. The questionnaire survey was collected from the Federal Housing Corporation provisional employees and regulatory bodies who are directly involved in public housing development project planning, executing, and controlling. From the summaries of the findings, more of the respondents agreed with the stated problem, meaning that this problem contributed to the challenges of project management implemented in Federal Housing Corporation project sites' practice. This indicates that the existing challenge practice has, as a whole, not been filled with success but other opportunities to improve challenges. As learned from the interview questions, the organization's way of dealing with the challenges is more retroactive than proactive, except in some cases. The solutions, such as: coming back with stakeholders and contractors to jointly resolve issues; applying liquidated damage to compensate for the losses; taking contractual measures; indicating that remedial actions are taken after a setback in the progress of the project. This research aimed to investigate the effects of selected factors, which are training, motivation, leadership, organizational culture, and working environment, on employees‟ job performance. The study, after doing different analyses, found that the research objectives needed to be reached and, based on the major findings, especially motivation, leadership, work environment, and organizational culture, are not being implemented properly as they have to be put into effect. That means there are still limitations to implementing these practices. From the study, we have seen that lack of project management skills and training in project management is the most significant challenge factor, mostly agreed upon by most of the participants. The identified interrelated challenges are due to a lack of a well-structured project support office on both the owners' and other sides. In line with this, the organization must also take into consideration the adoption of a well-defined project management methodology. The practice now uses state-of-the-art construction technology called "Aluminum Form Work Technology." The technology facilitates the quality and speed of construction, and the corporation has been able to build a ten-story, ten-story residential village in 18 months. It will improve the performance and close the gap mentioned earlier concerning challenging factors. en_US
