dc.description.abstract The objective of this study was to assess the adoption of soil and water conservation practice: the case of Andabet District, South Gondar Zone, Amhara National Regional State Ethiopia. The major data for this study were obtain from each and individual households which are selected randomly because these problems were found at each kebeles. Soil erosion is one of the major agricultural problems in the north western region including conducting area. Identification of erosion on regional scale can be very use full for practicing and appropriate soil and water conservation measure and can be help to reduce land degradation. This finding proved to soil and water conservation practice are optioned less option to sustain the of life people’s animals in the study area because the life which were directly or indirectly depending on soil and water. The recommendation is that dwellers without conserving soil and water those are unable to satisfy their own needs and wants.so that every member whose are settle ether rural or urban must to participate assessing and adopting of soil and water conservation practices en_US
