The livestock subsector has made enormous contributions to Ethiopia’s national economy and
livelihoods of many Ethiopians. However, there are various bottle neck that affect the
effective and efficient utilization of this valuable subsector. Out of these, there is a limited
coverage of veterinary services especially in relation to veterinary surgical management and
corrections of different deformities and injuries that can save the lives of animals and serve as
chemotherapy for controlling livestock diseases. The study was conducted from April, 2023,
to February, 2024, at JUCAVM Open-air Clinic with the objectives of documenting and
describing various surgical procedures, techniques as well as outcomes in small and large
