Abstract:
Monte Carlo simulations techniques have been used to investigate the e ect of a sinusoidal
surface on polymer adsorption. To this end, we have calculated the mean-square end-to
end distance as a function of chain length R2 (N) and mean-square radius of gyration as
a function of chain length R2
g . We found that the scaling relation of R2 and R2
g with
polymer size N as N21279 and N19892. We have also determined the average adsorbed
monomer and average adsorbed monomer fraction as a function of chain length (N).
Finally, we have determined adsorption energy as a function of adsorbed monomers.
