Abstract:
In this work, calculations of the excitation function of alpha particle induced reaction on zinc isotopes 64 Zn and 66 Zn below 46 MeV have been studied. The theoretical cross-section induced by alpha-particle on zinc isotopes 64 Zn and 66 Zn for the reaction ( 64 Zn(α, n) 67 Ge, 64 Zn(α, 2n) 66 Ge, 64 Zn(α, p) 67 Ga, 66 Zn(α, n) 69 Ge, 66 Zn(α, 2n) 68 Ge) below 46 MeV energy has been calculated using COMPLET code. Excitation function for the reactions were compared with the experimental data on the cross-section of the same reactions have been done. The experimentally measured excitation functions obtained from EXFOR data source, IAEA, have been compared with the theoretical calculations made by COMPLET code. Level density parameter, kinetic energy and exciton number were varied to get good agreement between the calculated and measured data. In the study different dependence of reaction cross-section on projectile energies were observed between zinc isotopes 64 Zn and 66 Zn while being bombarded by the projectile of alpha particle for the energy below 46 MeV. The graph of energy versus cross-section (σ), the excitation function was plotted. It was observed that theoretical cross-sections were in good agreement with experimental data taken from EXFOR data center. Generally calculation using a COMPLET code gives good result for the reaction cross-section of alpha induced reaction on two isotopes of zinc ( 64 Zn and 66 Zn) below 46 MeV projectile energy.
