Abstract:
The quality of the performance of any construction project is determined to achieve the intended
purpose of the project. In order for this to happen, the stakeholders involved in the construction and
the materials used for the construction are crucial. The researcher have tried to see if the necessary
construction process and the following two important points are being followed on the buildings
being built by private investors in Adama city. The main thing the researcher saw during this time
was that many buildings were being built by private investors in Adama. So the researcher
confirmed whether the buildings under construction are undergoing the necessary construction
process or not.and also the researcher verified that the materials used for construction are being
tested for quality and that they are being used for construction and also the researcher researched
these points by asking the first and second objectives in the form of questioner and the third objective
is to determine what the materials used for construction are determined by testing them in the
laboratory. The main reason for looking at and answering these questions is that most studies in the
past have focused on how to maintain the quality of construction, not on individual buildings but on
public buildings. To this end, the researcher used descriptive research methods to evaluate the
quality of construction and to assess the involvement of government bodies in private construction
projects, and the researcher used causality research methods to assess the impact of unproven
construction materials (sand and gravel) on private buildings.According to my research in Adama
the government has issued a construction proclamation, but it is not being implemented properly.
Also, most builders do not hire a registered contractor or consultant. In general, the buildings under
construction in the city are in dire straits in terms of the quality of construction, the involvement of
government bodies as authorized by the proclamation, and the quality of construction materials.
Therefore, the parties concerned with the problem of each building, whether the building owner or the
building authority, are recommended to use the solution set by the researcher.
