dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study was to investigate the attitudinal change of the stakeholders (teachers, principals, vice principals, woreda education office) towards female’s empowerment in educational leadership in secondary schools of Jimma Zone. The study sites were at Chora Botor, Limmu Kossa and Nono Benja woreda education office and secondary schools. The study population consists 3 woreda education office , 20 secondary schools, 20 principals, 14 vice principals, 41 female teachers and 120 male teachers . From these 100% of female teachers and 70% of male teachers were included to fill the questionnaires which consists of 41 female teachers and 120 male teachers were selected using simple random sampling specifically lottery method. The data was collected using questionnaires and interview as instrument. The study employed descriptive survey design because it was preferred as it enables to make investigations with prediction, narration of events, comparisons and drawing conclusions based on the information obtained from relatively large and representative sample of the target population. The findings of this study indicated that there is still low empowerment of females in educational leadership of secondary schools and aspiration, administrative strategies and challenges like misperception of stakeholders, female conflict of roll between their professional duty and family issues, female’s poor self image remain unchanged. It also revealed that there is a gap in creating awareness to empower female’s in secondary school leadership. Recommendations such as female should be given opportunities of training and higher educations were made on the basis of conclusions. en_US
