dc.description.abstract Genetic improvement of indigenous dairy cattle through crossbreeding is a crucial way to increase productivity, as it exploits both additive and non-additive genetic effect. This study was designed to evaluate non-genetic and crossbreeding parameters on the performance of Borana and Borana-Frisian crossbred dairy cattle at Holetta Agricultural research center. Retrospective type of data was used to evaluate productive and reproductive traits and laboratory based investigation was done to evaluate milk composition en_US
