The biophysical and socio-economic factors make forest-based and non-forest-based
livelihood systems vulnerable to climate change. However, the extent of vulnerability varied
for spatial variation of determining factors. Despite their vulnerability, households employed
relevant adaptation measures to reduce effects of climate change. Therefore, the main
objective of this study was investigating the factors for the variation of vulnerability, and
undertaken adaptation measures based on forest-based and non-forest-based households. A
cross sectional research design was employed to collect qualitative and quantitative data
from household heads. Primary data was collected through focus group discussion, key
informant interviews, and household interview; while secondary data was collected through
document analysis. |
