dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the folkloric components of Tooki Be‟aa, such as folk custom of Tooki Be‟aa, folk arts of Tooki Be‟aa and material cultures of Tooki Be‟aa.These are passed down through oral imitation and/or folk learning from one generation to the next. Festivals are occasions for memorializing significant occurrences in human society that unite individuals from all walks of life. In this study, a celebration of the New Year Tooki Be‟aa is specifically discussed in the context of folklore analysis of Dawro festivities. The methodology of the study was qualitative, and its design was ethnographic research designs. Two data gathering tools were used in this study primary and secondary. Data was gathered using qualitative data collection methods such as interviews, observations and focus group discussions. Secondary sources that are related to this one have been reviewed, and the collected data has been analyzed qualitatively.This study's conclusions are presented in chapter five. This chapter claims that Tooki Be'aa exemplifies the four components of folklore such as Tooki be‟aa, performing arts of Tooki Be‟aa), oral literatures (folksongs), material cultures of Tooki Be‟aa. en_US
