dc.description.abstract Adoption of improved wheat variety is the essential solution to combat food insecurity in Ethiopia. The aim of this study is to analyze adoption of improved shorima wheat varieties and its’ impact on food security in Adiyo district. Systematic random sampling technique was used to select 4 kebele among 14 wheat producer kebeles. 302 sample household heads were selected by probability proportional to size for each kebeles’. Qualitative and quantitative data types with primary and secondary sources of data were employed for the study. Primary data were collected through household surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interview, and secondary data were collected from development agents en_US
